This used to be our 'go to' place, but over the years they have fancied up the place while the food quality and service have gone downhill. We are generally disappointed after going there, but the view is AWESOME and makes up for SOME of the issues you must deal with here. I would say go for Happy Hour and get a burger or salad to eat. And most of all, don't bother going there unless you can enjoy the patio and the view of the river.

This is your typical McMennimans with a couple guest taps. I had the Arrogant Bastard. Cant go wrong with the terminator stout. Best part of this place is the view of the river. Looks like a great place to go once in warms up as the patio overlooks the river. If you like McMennimans beer then this is a great place to go. And if you get bored, Beaches is next door and they usually have a couple good beers on tap and have the same great view of the river.

This MeMenamins is worse than some of the others. Good beer but poor service and so so food. Nice view of the river is the best part.

The patio area is what it's all about. I was very disappointed in our service, though - our server was either overwhelmed or just not cut out for the job. He was slow and forgetful. The food quality seems to vary a great deal from night to night. I recommended a dish I'd had before and the one served to my friend was pretty bad! However, the view is amazing - just stick with the beer and fries!

This McMenamin's surprised me with the quality of the food and the selection of beers. The hummus plate was great as was the ahi sandwich. I ordered the sampler plate, and thought the Hammerhead pale and Terminator stout excellent. A few too many berries in some of their beers otherwise.

I do not go to brewpubs to eat, so the lack of meat on the house special 'philly' was only an aggravation. A cask IPA was oustanding. Sampler included 9 beers. All three bitters were represented but there was little difference between the ordinary and best. The ordinary was hoppier and maybe a bit more complex. Wonder if the bar tender got confused. Real nice ESB. An excellent 'golden'

A "must" if you're visiting Portland/Vancouver. Have a nice, creamy Terminator Stout and enjoy the view across the Columbia. Also, be sure to check out the other McMenamins' pubs in Portland.

The pub is on the river with excellent view. Outside seating is recommended in the summer. Inside setting was rustic with friendly service and good food. As usual their Terminator Stout was perfect!
